Writer's Block: Adult Onset

Putting legal definitions aside, at what age do you think someone can really be considered an adult?

That's interesting, we had a similar conversation in Biology yesterday.  We had ended up on the topic of A. Rod and Mike Phelps and how they blamed their steriod and pot use on being young and stupid and it turned into a 45 minute debate on what age should be the cut off age for claiming youth as a reason for doing something.

We eventually decided that it all comes down to responsability. The girl who sits next to me had pointed out that she has an 'older' (to us anyway) cousin, he's about 35 i guess, and he's a ski instructor, he's not married, doesn't have any kids, so his only real responsability is to himself and what he needs to do to live. He does have to worry about anyone else, so he sits on a mountain and smokes pot all day, and it's perfectly okay. My friend herself, on the other hand, is six months pregnant, and her 24 year old boyfried still tries to go to the bar every night and party, they live together, and it's turning into a bit of a problem. She keeps having to point out to him that, yes,  he is young and wants to have fun, but he has a child on the way and needs to grow up.

It all comes down to responsability, if you're, say, 17 and have been supporting your family for 3 years because dad got hurt in an accident and can't work, then yea, you should be considered an adult. If you're 19 have three kids already and still want to party every night, you're an adult. If you're a 20 year old college student just trying to live life and have fun, then no, you don't have to be an adult.

Every time I get a fortune cookie that has lucky numbers on the back, I always end up with thirteen.

And I once had one that came late...I was standing line at school and some guy said that he liked my backpack, i opened my cookie and it said..."You will be complimented today."

Well no duh...

When it comes to clothes, would you rather be comfortable or fashionable?

Comfortable - why look good when you can't stand wearing what you're wearing?

Writer's Block: Tricky Questions

What is your first reaction when someone says "I need to talk to you"?

View 503 Answers

It depends on who's saying it.

Mom: "It wasn't me!"

Dad: "Why are you starting now?"

Teacher: "Oh crap."

Madison (sis): "Wasn't me find 'manda."

Amanda (sis): "Wasn't me find Madison."

Ryan (bro): "Why don't you ask Madison?"

Boss: "I didn't work last night!"

Writer's Block: Vacation Time

What was your most memorable vacation, and why?

One I just had in Salt Lake with a group from the local college because it just happened and because a couple of the girls get really syco when they get tired...."Oh shit." "NO, Nicole, I shit... "   Or...'wake up, "My scar hurts..." goes back to sleep.' And the entire group, including my self id obsesses with High School Musical.
